President returns home tomorrow

DHAKA – President M Abdul Hamid will return home tomorrow after his medical checkup in the United Kingdom.

“A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President is expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at about 11 am tomorrow,” President’s Deputy Press Secretary (DPS) Abul Kalam Azad told BSS this afternoon.

President Hamid is scheduled to leave London tonight for Dhaka after his 12-day medical trip.

The President left Dhaka for London on July 7 for eye treatment at Moorfields Eye Hospital and health checkup at Bupa Cromwell Hospital.

The 74-year-old President has been suffering from Glaucoma since long. He used to have his health checkup in London while he was the Speaker in the Jatiya Sangsad.
