Shahadat Sumon, JU correspondent: Over 50 female students staged demonstration in front of Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib hall for demanding the opening the dormitories at Jahangirnagar University (JU).

Around at 8 pm, they brought out a rally that paraded different streets on the camps and ended in front of Bangamata Fazilatunnesa hall.

When contacted Hall Provost Prof Md Mujur Rahman said, ‘The decision of closing dorms was taken from the syndicate. So, I cannot violate the decision by opening my hall’.

However, around 9.30 am, they withdrew their demo.
