Adopting latest technologies stressed for quality education

RANGPUR, – Academics at a seminar held here today stressed on better infrastructural facilities and adoption of digitalized information technologies to ensure quality in higher education, training and research activities.

They said this at a seminar tilted ‘Role of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in Improving Quality of Higher Education’ held at conference room of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) , a press release said today.

Member of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Professor Dr. Muhammad Alamgir attended the seminar as chief guest.

Vice-chancellor of the university Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah presided over the event, participated by the Deans of different facilities, Heads of different departments and teachers of the university.

Director of IQAC at BRUR Professor Dr Nazmul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr. Sarifa Salowa Dina, Controller of Examinations of BRUR Professor Dr. Mohammad Morshed Hossain and Registrar Colonel (Retd) Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal , among other spoke on the occasion.

The chief guest in his speech said BRUR is running the institution on the right track for ensuring quality of higher education, training and research to build up worthy citizens in turning Bangladesh into a developed country.

Professor Kalimullah said the BRUR authorities have implemented infrastructural uplifts along with establishing virtual class room and regular publication of journals and periodicals to ensure quality education with international standard.

“It would be easy to attain sustainable development goals if quality of education is ensured in all universities of the country,” he said.
