Vocational training for ethnic youth’s employment stressed

KHULNA ,–Speakers at a view exchange meeting today laid special emphasis on imparting vocational training to youth in different sectors to turn them into skilled workforces for their employments both home and abroad.

Khulna District Administration organised the divisional level view exchange meeting as part of formulation of the National Jobs Strategy of the country at deputy commissioner’s conference room today.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Helal Hossain attended the meeting as chief guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ziaur Rahman presided over the meeting .

Moderated by Operation Director of Policy Research Institute (PRI) Dr. GM Khurshid Alam, the meeting was addressed by Deputy Director of the Department of Khulna Women Affairs Nargis Fatema Zamin .

The Deputy Commissioner said the government has been striving hard to ensure inclusive development of people, particularly backward ethnic communities for attaining sustainable development goals by 2030.

“After getting training on different technical and vocational courses as per their own choice the ethnic youths would get jobs both home and abroad to change their fortune and contribute toward national progress,” DC said.

Deputy Director of Women Affairs Nargis informed the meeting that the less educated and underprivileged women will be imparted trainings on computer, garment related works, tailoring, embroidery, beautification, driving, pasty and bakery making, nursing and cooking.
