DHAKA, – Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing’s mother Ma Cha Yoi.

In a condolence message, she prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Besides, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed deep shock at the death of Ma Cha Yoi.

Ma Cha Yoi died of old-age complications at 11.30 pm on Saturday at her own residence at the age of 85.

She is survived by only son, well wishers and a host of relatives and admirers.
