DHAKA, -The second four-day game between Bangladesh A and Sri Lanka A ended in a draw after the hosts dominated the most part of the match at Hambantota on Monday. The first match, which was rescheduled and reduced to three-day game after rain interrupted the proceeding also ended in a draw.

Bangladesh A seemed to have taken the upper-hand of the second match once they took 62-run lead in the first innings lead, amassing 330, thanks to
captain Mominul Haque’s 117-run knock. Sri Lanka was bowled out for 268 in their first innings after left-arm spinner Taijul Islam claimed 7-84.

But the Lankans came back strongly in the second innings, capitalizing on Bangladesh A bowlers’ listless bowling.

Before the bails were drawn for the final and day four, Sri Lanka scored 357-2 in its second innings with opener Pathum Nissanka leading the way.
Nissanka struck a 192-run knock, hitting 20 fours and one six.

His fellow opener Sangeeth Cooray made 89 while Kamindu Mendis was the other notable scorer with 67 not out. The two teams will play a three-match one-day series with the first game is on October 9.
