Jashore, – A bank official was killed in a road accident in Palbari crossing area of the town on Friday night. Police identified the deceased as Azizur Rahman, 38, son of Atier Rahman of Bolpur village in sadar upazila. Azizur worked as a Senior Officer at Janata Bank Limited RN Road Women Branch.

A truck knocked Azizur down at Palbari crossing while he was returning home on a motorcycle from Jashore town, leaving him dead on the spot,
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station Md Moniruzzaman said.

The truck was seized but its driver and helper were managed to flee, he said. A Case was filed in this connection.
