DHAKA,  – Three players are sharing leads in the points with maximum four points after the fourth round games of the International Rating Chess tournament now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall-Room here.

They are FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Golden Sporting Club, CM Sharif Hossain of Bangladesh Navy and Kazi Taherul Islam of Learning Chess Club.

Three players are sharing second position with 3.5 points.

They are GM Ziaur Rahman of SAIF Sporting Club, Jabed Al Azad of Shahin Chess Club and Tahsin Tajwar Zia of Golden Sporting Club.

In the day’s fourth round games held today (Monday), CM Sharif beat Abdul Momin, FM Parag beat Swarnavo Choudhury, Taher beat Sariatullah, GM Zia beat WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin, Jabed beat CM Subrota Biswas, Tahsin beat CM Sohel Chowdhury and IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin beat WIM Rani Hamid.

Earlier, in the 3rd round games held on Sunday evening, Swarnavo beat IM Minhaz and Tahsin split point with GM Zia.

The fifth round games were in progress when the last report came in hand this afternoon.

The sixth round matches begins tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10 am at same venue.
