KUSHTIA,   – Water levels of Padma and Gorai rivers at Kushtia point are rising and there is a little possibility of flood in the district, according to Water Development Board (WDB).

Executive Engineer of WDB Pijush Kundu said, “Water level of Padma at Kushtia point has increased by five centimeters in the past four days. Although the Padma river is in rising trend, we are predicting that flood
would not affect in the district.”

Officials of Water Development Board have remained alert to deal with emergency situation of flood.
