Mahbubul A Khalid’s song on Father’s Day

Father’s Day, a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society, is observed on the third Sunday of June in most countries including Bangladesh.

Noted Bangladeshi poet, lyricist and composer Mahbubul A Khalid, who is known for his music on different issues like international days or observance, social awareness, humanity, love for human etc. has penned another exceptional song on fathers to show respect to all fathers on the occasion of Father’s Day.

The song ‘Baba Amar Baba’ (Daddy my Daddy) has been published on the lyricist’s own website www.khalidsangeet.com. Young composer Roman composed the tune of the music while Sangeeta rendered her voice. A lyrical video of the song is also available on YouTube’s ‘Khalid Sangeet’ channel.
Apart from various days, Mahbubul A Khalid penned songs on the war-torn situation in Palestine, torture on Rohingya people in Myanmar, border killing through the incident of Felani, sufferings of unprivileged people through the song Aduri. His songs make people aware of smoking, eve teasing, autism, AIDS, adulterated foods etc. He wrote songs on indigenous people, refugees, and various social and religious festivals like Eid, Quarbani, Christmas, Durgapurja, Buddha, Krishna, English New Year, Bengali New Year, birthday etc. He paid respect to Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Pritilata Waddedar, Surya Sen, Lalon Fakir along with other great Bengalis.
