Speaker for creating skilled generation on info-tech

DHAKA,  – Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today urged the future generation to be skilled on information technology to survive in the competitive world.

“Our future generation must be skilled on information technology to survive in the competitive world as Bangladesh is moving towards supreme development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the hope of building ‘Digital Bangladesh’,” she said.

She made the call while addressing a workshop as the chief guest on “Developing Digital Government Strategies: An Orientation Programme on e-Governance” at e-Governance Leadership Center under the arrangement of the National University of Singapore (NUS) while its e-Government Leadership Centre Director Ashok Kumar presented the summery of the four-day workshop.

Lawmakers AFM Ruhul Haque and Aroma Dutta and Nahid Ezhar Khan gave the welcome speeches while Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mostafizur Rahman was also present on the occasion.

Lawmakers Md Israfil Alam, Mir Mustaq Ahmed Rabi, Ashake Ullah Rafiq, Ayesha Ferdous, Wasika Ayesha Khan and other parliament secretariat officials also took part in the workshop.

Later, the participants visited the Singapore National Library and Singapore Parliament.
