Bidi Labourer declares a massive rally in Dhaka

Bangladesh Bidi Sramik Federation President Amin Uddin BSC announced a massive rally in capital Dhaka in December. On Wednesday (November 8th), he announced this at a rally organized by Bangladesh Bidi Workers Federation Pabna Zone in front of Pabna Press Club, says a press release.

Amin Uddin said, to reduce the tax on the bidi will have to increase the wages of the workers. The government has repeatedly said that bidi workers will be provided alternative jobs. Moreover, a number of government officials have conspired to destroy Bidi industrial. To prevent this conspiracy, a big gathering will be held in Dhaka with all the Bidi workers in the country in December.
He further said that the workers are being deprived of getting their fair value due to excess tax. This can never be happened. In order to protect our Bidi industry, the the government officials are forced to go into a harsh movement. Besides, we will continue our movement till the demands of bidi workers are met. He urged the workers to remain united so that Amin Uddin said.
