Tampaco Foils factory fire case to be continued: Asaduzzaman

DHAKA : Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said the case, which was lodged in Tampaco Foils Limited factory fire incident in Tongi BSCIC Industrial area, will be continued.
“Police have already submitted an investigation report… A separate investigation was also carried out …I hope the trial process will be completed in a proper way,” he said while laying foundation of new building of Tampaco Foils factory at Tongi in Gazipur.
Md Jahid Hossain Russel, MP, Gazipur City Corporation former Mayor Asadur Rahman Kiron, Police Super Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid, Gazipur City Awami League President Advocate Azmat Ullah Khan and Tampaco. Group Managing Director Safius Sami Alamgir, among others, were present at the function. Organizers said the new building will be a green factory and its annual production capacity will be 18,500 metric tons. Around 500 labours will get job in the factory and Taka 150 crore will be deposited to government fund as revenue, they added.

A total of 39 people were killed in a devastating fire in the Tampaco factory on September 10, 2016, said an official hand out here.
