Dhaka – Mobile phone operator Banglalink is set to offer 4G internet service for its subscribers, reports UNB.
“To achieve this, the company is working relentlessly and upgrading its network to offer a data-heavy and seamless connectivity for its customers,” said a Banglalink press release on Tuesday.

There had been successful testing of the network for 4G a year back by one of its partners, and innovative approaches to network modernisation had also been taken and recently started converting SIM to 4G, it added.
Besides, investment in efficient, high-speed data networks continues to substantially improve 3G coverage as well.
Currently, 90 percent sites have been brought under the 3G coverage and within this year, the rest will be upgraded as well, said the release.
Pierre Boutros Obeid, chief technology officer of the company, said, “Banglalink has been in the forefront in terms of introducing the latest technologies when it comes to serving the needs of our customers.”
