Afghan envoy meets President

DHAKA : Outgoing Afghan Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdul Rahim Oraz made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday, reports UNB.
President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.
During the meeting, President Hamid said Afghanistan is a Muslim brotherly country of Bangladesh and the existing relations between the two countries are excellent now. Bangladesh gives importance to strengthening ties with brotherly countries like Afghanistan, he added.
Thanking the outgoing Afghan Ambassador for performing his duty successfully in Bangladesh, the President hoped that Afghanistan will move ahead to development and progress in the days to come.
Ambassador Abdul Rahim Oraz expressed his gratitude to President Hamid for support during his assignment here.
