IUB signs Microsoft Education Agreement

Being the first ever private university in Bangladesh, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has signed Microsoft Education Agreement with Tech One Global (Pvt) Ltd while the signing ceremony was held on Monday at the permanent campus of IUB in Bashudhara, Dhaka. This initiative will establish a strong partnership with Microsoft in empowering IUB through digital transformation. In this journey, IUB will be treated as one of the model universities to enable digital literacy and will launch number of services for its students and teachers, press release said.
In his welcome remarks, Prof. M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of IUB hoped that agreement with this iconic company will make education more accessible to and fast for IUB students and increase the productivity of the students, faculties and the management staffs as well. They will be able to do what they couldn’t do before and by using this technology as a tool will increase the possibility of IUB to a great extent.
Luna Shamsuddoha, hon’ble Member of the Board of Trustees, IUB said that this partnership with Microsoft will help our students to learn new things, bring great dividend for them and prepare them to be the future leaders. They will be well acquainted with the massive transformation that is going on.
Dr. Rani Burchmore, Education Partner Director, Microsoft APAC spoke on modernizing the classroom with Microsoft technology. Lars Jeppesen, CEO, Tech One Global (Pvt.) Ltd. emphasized on the necessity and importance of digitizing student record room and showed how this agreement will help to do so. Mehool Sangharajka, CEO, Learning Possibilities Ltd gave a presentation on interactive learning experience with LP+ 365.
Prof. Milan Pagon, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Designate), Deans and Heads of different Schools and Departments, senior members of the faculty and management of IUB, dignitaries from Microsoft and IUB students were present during the ceremony.
