Force 2 trailer review: John Abraham-Sonakshi Sinha starrer’s raw action is bloody awesome!

Year 2011 saw John Abraham for the first time in a hardcore action movie. The film titled Force had one of the best action scenes and was much talked about for two factors, John Abraham lifting a bike and bashing a powerful villain in the form of Vidyut Jamwal. When you have a bulked up macho hero, you need an equally bulked up macho villain. And, Force played to the gallery very well. So when I heard about that the sequel was in the making, I was excited to know how badass, John Abraham’s gonna look, how they will carry the story forward the story aftermaths of Force and who’s gonna be there to lock horns with John Abraham after Vidyut Jamwal. And boy I was surprised! The trailer takes everything a notch higher from the previous film. The film stars John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin. And unlike the first part, it is directed by Abhinay Deo of Delhi Belly and Anil Kapoor’s  TV series 24 fame.

I was sold on the scene when John Abraham is shown lifting a Mercedes Benz in the trailer, after lifting a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle in it’s prequel. The antagonist played by Tahir Raj Bhasin is contrast to that of Vidyut Jamwal’s. While Vidyut Jamwal’s was mostly about physical force, Tahir Raj Bhasin’s is more about mind games. Sonakshi Sinha is carrying forward her action avatar from Akira to Force 2. She’s seen as a RAW agent and is nailing it and looks believable in her action scenes. Now coming back to the man of the hour, John Abraham; Force back in 2011 was his first true blue solo hit and after the unsuccessful attempt at hardcore action with Rocky Handsome, he is in his zone here. And, going by the trailer he has a winner in his hand. Also, don’t miss John Abraham’s fight scene in nothing but a towel.

What’s not:

Though I like Tahir Raj Bhasin as an actor and his character for a movie like Force 2, as mentioned above. But, his character, however, looks like an extended version of his Mardaani’s character. I juts hope the similarities ends here and there will be more to his role than what we saw in the trailer.

Overall, the first theatrical trailer is high on action and that is what is expected from the movie. It’s bigger, it’s better and it’s more badass. Here’s expecting a hurricane when movie hits theatre on November 18. I am totally hyped.
