Will Sex And The City return? It’s a possibility, says Parker

4-573-x-430Sarah Jessica Parker has said there is a “possibility” Sex And The City will return – 18 years on from when the hit TV show about 30-somethings in New York first aired, reports Sky News. The actress, who played Carrie Bradshaw in the programme, said she and her co-stars have not ruled out filming another instalment for their legions of loyal fans.
Uncertainty remains over whether Sex And The City’s return would be in the form of a seventh season or a third movie, following on from the films released in 2008 and 2012.
“I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved,” Parker added. The TV show last aired in 2004, and the final episode was set in Paris – where Carrie finally got the happy ending she deserved with Mr Big.
Amid speculation about a comeback, Parker has been turning her attention to another TV comedy called Divorce, in which she and Thomas Haden Church play a couple whose marriage is teetering on the brink. In the show, Parker’s character soon begins to realise that making a clean break is nowhere near as easy as she initially thought. Divorce is written by English-born Irish actress and writer Sharon Horgan, and will first air in the UK on Sky Atlantic on 11 October. Parker knows a thing or two about marriage, and tied the knot with fellow actor Matthew Broderick 19 years ago.
