Khaleda goes to Saudi Arabia today for hajj

DHAKA : BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is going to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to perform hajj at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reports UNB.
The BNP chief together with her adviser Enamul Haque Chowdhury, special assistant Abdus Sattar and her aide Fatema will leave Dhaka by a flight of Saudia Airlines around 5pm, said her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
Sources at BNP said Khaleda’s eldest son and party senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman, his family members and his late younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko’s wife Sharmila Rahman will also join Khaleda from London to perform Hajj as royal guests of the Saudi king.
According to the sources, Khaleda is expected to return home on September 22.
The BNP chairperson last visited Saudi Arabia on July 26, 2013 at the invitation of the Saudi king and returned home on August 7 after performing Umrah.
