Dr Razee always protected country’s interest: Anisuzzaman

DHAKA : Recalling the contributions of Dr Aleem-Al-Razee, President of Bangla Academy Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman on Saturday said Dr Razee had spent his whole life to protect the country’s interest, reports UNB.
“Dr Razee had played a special role in protecting the country’s interest. He kept on inspiring the people to stand for democracy in every crisis moment of the country,” he said.
Professor Anisuzzaman came up with remarks while unveiling the cover of a book titled ‘Dr Aleem-Al-Razee Smarak Grantha’ (Commemoration Book Vol I: Bengali) at Bangla Academy on the first day of Amar Ekushey Book Fair. Replying to a query, Prof Anisuzzaman said the Bangla Academy authorities have extended the Ekushey Book Fair to Suhrawardi Uddan this year as they could no longer accommodate the fair on the academy promises.
He said the writers and authors should write creative and though-provoking books to contribute to the development of a knowledge-based society.
Speaking on the occasion, UNB chairman Amanullah Khan said if the young generation could follow the ideology of Dr Razee, they would be able to attain many things in their professions as Dr Razee was an ideal of youths.
