536 Jamaat-Shibir men sued in Ctg

CHITTAGONG Two cases have been filed against some 536 Jamaat-Shibir men in connection with Monday’s attack on police in Bakolia area in the port city during the 3rd day of the 18-party’s road-rail-waterway blockade, reports UNB.
Nikunja Barua and Enamul Haque, two sub-inspectors of Bakolia Police Station, filed the cases against 36 identified and 500 unidentified Jamaat-Shibir activists under the explosive substances and special trial acts in the early hours of Tuesday.
Jamaat-Shibir men brought out a sudden procession at Tulatuli under Bakolia thana and set fire to a human-hauler. When police obstructed them, the unruly activists hurled crude bombs to police.
At one stage, they also attacked the law enforcers, leaving two policemen injured.
