Turkish envoy calls on cultural minister

DHAKA : The newly appointed Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh, Huseyin Muftuoglu, today called on Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad at his secretariat office in Dhaka on Tuesday, reports BSS.
During the meeting, the minister described Turkey as a trusted friend of Bangladesh, saying there are excellent relations between the two brotherly countries on different sectors including trade, industry, education, science, commerce and culture which are increasing day by day. Cultural exchanges are continuing in line with the agreement signed between the two countries in 1981, the minister said.
Cultural Affairs Secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas was present.
